  9. That is why I read them on the kindle. I get them faster and no waiting for delivery, especially with all the books stores closing around here. It is so sad. Now a kindle is a necessity not just a luxury. Thanks for posting on kindle for me. Lori

  16. Hi Tessa I absolutely Love this series... Amazing! For me it wasn't your typical vampire story. I love the brothers it was hard to just pick one to vote on... ****SPOILER**** when the blood moon showed up for Marquis and I realized who it was I was like NOOOOO!! OMM! how is this gonna play out...I felt so bad for him and then at the offering when his guilt was just to much for him and then Shelby appeared that was INTENSE!!! I cried for that entire scene. I'm ruined for other books now I don't have the desire to read anything else I just want to reread them that's not good for my TBR PILE... ;) do you have a release date yet for next book?

  17. Hi Xee, that's what happens to me when I find a series that totally sucks me in. I devour it, and then I search and search for something else to become a part of. I am so glad you have connected so strongly to the Blood Curse world; the release date is April 15, 2012 (but like BA, it will come out early if it's ready...):-)

  20. IF YOU'RE HAVING A PROBLEM POSTING A COMMENT...

For some reason, some users are having a problem posting a comment or getting in. More than likely, it is related to using firefox, but google is being a bit finicky as well. While we’re working on fixing the problem, please exit the site and go back in through the Chrome (google) search engine (it can be downloaded free from the web). Type in www.tessadawn.com, which will take you to the homepage of my website: From there, click the “Blog” tab and enter that way. Hope that helps!

  21. Hi Tessa. I absolutely loved both your books. I started Blood Destiny and devoured it in one sitting and was so surprised that Blood Awakening was already available. Once I started it I absolutely could not put it down. I LOVE, LOVE this book. Marquis is WOW. His story truly moved me and I must say that Blood Awakening is now marked as one of my all time favorite books read. Thank you Tessa.... I can't wait until your next book in this series.

  24. So happy to see that you already have the release date for the third book as 4/15/12. Would March 30th be too early of an ebook release date, ( it would make a fab gift to myself) just wondering 

  25. I found Blood Destiny by accident, and very glad that I did. I am a BIG book fan and you are now the icing on top of my Kindle! I read that book in one day could not put it down! Then I had to wait for the second book, which by the way blew my mind! Such a great book. I also read that in a day. I do not know anything about the third book but I hope that it is about a Wizard with green eyes! ; )
I love your work and I hope that you keep up what you do for a long, long time.

  26. Hello Tessa,

I am so disappointed that I am finished with this book already! I have really enjoyed the series and cannot wait until the next installment is released. My husband has already threatened to destroy my kindle if I refer to myself as his "destiny" one more time. It is wonderful to have found an author again who can weave magic, passion, and fear into a story and characters. It has been a long time since I have found a novel that I could not put down and was absorbed in from start to finish. The characters are so intricate and conflicted. I can't wait to see how Nachari and Braden continue to develop. Congratulations on the release and best wishes.

  33. Hi all. KG Garyson here. I'm a new horror/dark fantasy author working feverishly to get my first novel done. Tessa, I will be checking out your books as soon as I can. Right now, I have my plate full with book reviews to post to my blog and I'm running out of hours in the day lol!

  34. Hi everyone. My name is Angel. The books are so amazing. I am wondering which villain did you Hate the most (Valentine, Zarek or Salvatore? In the first book it was Valentine for me, but Salvatore needs to die a slow painful death!!!! :) I'd like to hear others thoughts on this one????? Use spoiler alerts if you need too.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Congratulations on your book release party Ms. Dawn!!! It's the very first one I've ever been to, and it's pretty cool. Oh, if you could release the third book sooner that would be even better 

    ReplyDelete
  36. I just wanted to say that what I like about the books is how they find their mate by the stars. I'm a sucker for astrology.

    ReplyDelete
  37. You're welcome, Doreen :-) And thank you to Lisa, KG, Angel, Pamela, and "Blowingfeather" :-)

  38. AngelSpirit,
I have to agree with you but *****spoiler alert***** did you not think it was poetic justice for Salvatore to receive this type of punishment for betrayal. He was so humiliated and I cant help but wonder if that wont somehow plant the seed of remorse in his soul (or lack of one). He afterall has not fathered any children. I wonder if he can seek out a spell to convert his nephew and himself to become one of the House of Jadon. The way the books are unfolding, it seems as if Nachari is one powerful wizard who may be possible of anything once he knows both types of magic

  39. Hi all.
I haven't actually read the books, but my wife (Pamela R) absolutely loves them. I feel as though I have read them :)
    Congratulations on the book release!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thanks, Joe... Your wife is a very kind lady :-)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Aimee,
Very interesting! With regard to your redemption idea (Salvatore using magic to switch to the house of Jadon...hmmm); do you think he could ever be forgiven :-) ???

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi Aimee,

I actually had not thought of it that - way#####SPOILER ALERT######--in Salvatore's case the punishment fit the crimes. The thought of him being redeemed is hard for me to even imagine possible, especially with the blood curse put upon them. I can't wait to see where Tessa goes with this. I liked your comments!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. i love all the books and i'm always waiting for the next one to come out! i get so excited!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Aimee & Ms. Dawn
They say forgiveness is next to godliness, and they are descendants of the Gods, but I think that's asking a bit much. They seem extremely protective and full of vengeance for those that harm their family. Just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think redemption for Salvatore would come at a significant price. The Dark Ones seem so self-absorbed and unable to see beyond themselves, with the exception of the way he views his nephew. Maybe the complete loss of his people, family, or even possibly ending his own life to convert his nephew would be enough to appease the Celestial gods and break the curse…. I cant wait to read more!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hi Aimee,
    *****""Spolier Alert""****
Do you think it's actual love for the baby or the fact that his nephew is the last bit of his brother he has?

    ReplyDelete
  47. That's a great question, Pamela: Do the Dark Ones actually feel love? Kind of requires some thought about the definition of love (what is it; where does it originate; and what does it looks like when it's real? What does it look like when it's false? Can it be false?) :-) Okay, Plato & Socrates are checking out now...lol.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hi Pamela,

!!!!!Spoiler Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I would agree that it is not love for the nephew, but the nephew being an extension of his own ego....uhm

  50. I am still awaiting my copy via Barnes&Noble so I can not speak directly to Salvatore's motivation but if we speak of the concept of love in general terms as it relates to the Dark Ones (DO) then I would have to say they (the DO) have lived with this curse for so long that love as we know, except and accept it is a concept lost on them.

I feel the DO sees the bringing forth of offspring like a farmer sees the planting and sowing of crops. This does not really work because a farmer has repect for the land his seeds are planted...what a fangle...It does seem the DO enjoy the process of "sowing & harvesting" but is that love? Is that a type of love?

Add Confucius, Kierkegaard and the collective works of The Beatles to the list. LOL :-)

  51. ************Spoiler Alert***********

    Hi Renee,
I like that "an extension of their ego". I feel that may be quit true for their brother's offspring, but it would be a stronger bond for their own son's. Not sure if it's love, but as close to it as

  52. Hi Lisa,

Loved how you described their reproductive actions ;)
Sounds like a perfect analogy to me. Hope you get your book soon, it's a doozy of an adventure!

  53. ~~~~~~Spolier Alert~~~~~

I am soooooo interested in Napoleon. With all we have learned about him in "Blood Awakening" I can't wait to hear more on how having drank from all the Light Ones makes him what he is or if it's just an extension of him, like hair on his head. And then what about his Destiny, he is (clearly) falling in love with Vanya and so far the stars haven't matched them up. So many questions that whirl around my head, at least the wait shouldn't be so long :)

  56. Hi Pamela,

I agree with you about Napoleon. I can't wait to read his story! I hope he finds his Destiny soon and he lives a happy life, considering all the sorrow he's gone through and the long life he's had to live through all alone.

Congratulations Tessa on your second book! It was FANTASTIC. I love love LOVED IT!!! I can't wait to read the third one, and every other book in the series :).
